What is InMarkit?
InMarkit is a shopping technology that allows you to create a digital “bookmark” to save and instantly share items while shopping on a participating retailer’s e-commerce site or by texting from a mobile device. Items can be shared with Facebook friends or any contact or network and retrieved at anytime, either online or on the go.

What is a markit code?
A markit code is the six-digit alphanumeric text code that you find on our retail partners' print ads, billboards and commercials.

Do I need to download any software?
There’s nothing to download when using InMarkit technology. Simply text the markit code found in a magazine ad or catalog, or on a billboard or item tag to MARKIT (627548) and you can save and share items instantly.

Is there a charge for using InMarkit?
InMarkit does not charge shoppers to use the service; however, your mobile phone carrier may. Check with your carrier to assess their standard text messaging rates and fees.

How do I get started?
Getting started is easy and it’s free to signup.

How do I get started?
Getting started is easy and it’s free to signup.
1. Click Sign Up on any page at InMarkit.com, or click here. Then validate your phone number and email address.

2. Sync any of your contacts using Facebook Connect or our contact manager tool – we never spam. Click Facebook Connect to add all your Facebook friends as contacts. Click People above to import contacts from any address book, or you can enter your contacts manually by clicking add a contact.

3. Visit any of our retail partners' e-commerce sites, click Markit next to any item you wish to share. When on the go, text the 6 digit alphanumeric code (markit code) that appears on advertisements from any of our retail partners' to MARKIT (627548).

Validation


Why do I have to validate?
InMarkit needs to verify that you have provided a valid email address or mobile number in order to use the system. To ensure that the information you provided is correct, InMarkit will send confirmation messages to the email address and mobile number you provided. Simply respond to these messages to validate your account and become an InMarkit user.

I never received a validation message. How do I validate?
Click Resend Validation on the initial Welcome page displayed after you signed up. If you provided an email address, please ensure that your firewall or other software, or your ISP, is set to allow InMarkit email messages. If you are still having problems, please contact us for help.

I validated my email or mobile address, so why when I try to login does InMarkit say that I still must validate?
If you provided both an email address and a mobile number during registration, you must confirm BOTH before your InMarkit account will be fully validated. Please make sure that you respond to both the email and SMS confirmation messages. If you are still having trouble, please contact us for help.

Facebook Connect 


What is Facebook Connect?
You may sign in to Facebook using this button. Facebook Connect allows you to link your IMI account to your Facebook account. After you associate your accounts you can share to your Facebook friends. If you are not signed in and have previously shared to a Facebook contact, the contact’s avatar will be anonymous. Sign in to Facebook via this button to see your contact’s profile picture. Note: You can only associate one IMI account to one Facebook account.

How do I add my Facebook Friends to my InMarkit contacts?
Log in to your Facebook account by clicking Facebook Connect. This will allow you to share to your Facebook contacts and view previous shares to Facebook contacts. If you are not logged into Facebook, you will see an anonymous Facebook avatar for previous shares to Facebook contacts.

How do I unlink my Facebook account with my InMarkit account?
To unlink your Facebook account, go to InMarkit.com, see My Profile under People, then click Unlink My Facebook Account. If you wish, you can re-link your account at a later date.

What is offline Facebook access for SMS?
Offline Facebook access lets you share to your Facebook contacts using your mobile phone. Once you link your Facebook account to your InMarkit account, you are able to view and share to your Facebook contacts while online. Selecting Offline Facebook Access also lets you share to your Facebook contacts when offline, that is, while using your mobile phone. If you do not enable this feature, you will only be able to share to your Facebook contacts while online.

How do I enable offline Facebook access for SMS?
Go to InMarkit.com to My Profile under People, click the Allow Offline Access for Facebook in the lower right hand corner.

How do I disable offline Facebook access?
If you decide that you no longer want to access Facebook contacts via SMS, go to InMarkit.com to My Profile under People, then click Disable Offline Access for Facebook.

How do I import my Contacts so I can share through InMarkit?
On InMarkit.com, click on the People above and click one of the address books under Import Contacts and follow the step by step instructions, or you can enter your contacts manually by clicking add a contact.

Use Import Contacts to upload your contacts from Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, Friendster, Facebook, MySpace, Outlook, Entourage, Thunderbird, and other various contact files.

How do I create a group and add Contacts to it?
On InMarkit.com, click My Groups on the People page, enter your group name and then click Go. Click on your group name, add a description for your group, select a group profile picture, and select a pad for the group, then save the group.

Once you have saved the group, you can add contacts to it. Return to the My Groups page by clicking the My Groups tab. If you are adding existing InMarkit contacts or Facebook Friends, you simply click on the contact name in the drop down menu and click Add to Group. If you are adding a new contact, you must first add them as an InMarkit contact by clicking Add Contact and completing the form.

To view or remove contacts to your group, click on the plus sign (+). You will see all of your contacts in the group. Just click Remove From Group to delete a contact from the group.

How do I upload a photo to my profile or a contact?
Upload a photo to your profile or a contact by going to your profile or the contact you wish to edit. Click Change Image and then select an avatar or click Choose File to select from images on your computer. You can upload a GIF, JPG or PNG. File size limit 4 MB. If your upload does not work, try a smaller picture. Once you have selected the image click Save to save your changes.

Note: Your image, or avatar, is private and cannot be viewed by your contacts. Your contacts may choose a different avatar to represent you in their contacts list.

Note: If your Facebook account is linked with your InMarkit account and you have not uploaded a personal photo to InMarkit, your Facebook profile image will display. If you upload a photo to your InMarkit profile, this photo will be displayed for you to your Facebook friends on InMarkit instead of your Facebook image.

Where do I find items to share with my friends?
Visit any of our retail partners' e-commerce sites and use InMarkit to save items you like, share with friends and see what’s on your list with that retailer.
Find an item you like on any of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites and click Markit to instantly save and share with friends.

Why can't I see all my contacts in the Markit Button when using Safari?
The default cookie setting in Safari is different than other browsers. In order to see your contacts, change your cookie settings to allow cookies. Go to the task bar, click Safari, then Preferences. Under the Security tab, select the option to "Always allow cookies".

Saving


What is “Saving”?
Saving is creating a “digital bookmark” for an item while shopping on a participating retailer’s e-commerce site or by texting from your mobile device.

You can add your own personalized message or comments, indicate your desire level, rate it, and add your own tags (or keywords) that will be associated with the item and travel with it to be used to search for the item at another time. Once you’ve saved the item, you can edit it or delete is from your InMarkit List at any time.

Once you’ve saved an item it’s accessible at any time and from anywhere either by going to your InMarkit List on one of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites or by texting any keyword to MARKIT (627548).

What happens when I share to a Facebook contact?
When you share to a Facebook contact, he or she will receive a notification of the share and a link to the e-commerce site where they can view this item. If your Facebook contact is also an IMI user, he or she will receive this notification, an email or text message (depending on his/her preferences) and the item will be added to their InMarkit List.

InMarkit List


What is the InMarkit List?
Your InMarkit List is the list of all the items you’ve saved and shared, or others have shared with you.

When shopping online, just click InMarkit List on one of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites to access your InMarkit List.

To access your list from your mobile phone, simply text a relevant keyword to MARKIT (627548). The keyword could be the name of a contact, an item category, a tag or the name of a retailer. Or for a more specific response, text a combination of keywords.

How do I access the InMarkit List online?
When shopping online, just click InMarkit List on one of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites to find all the items you’ve saved for yourself, shared with others, or others have shared with you.

How do I access the InMarkit List from my mobile device?

How do I save an item from InMarkit.com?
You may add an item directly through InMarkit retail partner sites by clicking Markit on their item landing pages.

InMarkit also allows you to add an item from retailers who are not yet InMarkit partners through our special clipping interface. You can add any item to your InMarkit List by clicking Add an item at the top of any InMarkit.com page and using the Add an item Wizard.

What is a share?
You can share items with comments instantly to friends or family or any social network or blog. When you share an item with a friend, they’ll receive email and text notifications of your share. Items you and your friends share with each other will also be saved to your InMarkit List.

Click Markit found on the item landing page on any InMarkit retail partner’s e-commerce site, and write a comment, add tags or a rating or a desire level. How do I share an item from an advertisement?
Text SHARE plus the markit code from the ad, and the persons first OR last name to MARKIT (627548) to share with a person on your InMarkit contact list. To share to a person that is NOT on your InMarkit contact list, simply use their mobile number or email address in place of the name.

How do I share an item from InMarkit.com?
Select any item on the site. Click Share It, write a comment, add tags or a rating or a desire level. Then to share via email or SMS, select a contact or enter a mobile number or email, and click send. Once you’ve saved or shared an item, it is automatically placed on your list.
While on the go, send a text message to MARKIT (627548) with the markit code for the item you wish to share, your contact’s first or last name or mobile phone number or email, and your personal message.

Accessing your InMarkit List


What is the InMarkit List?
Your InMarkit List is the list of all the items you’ve saved and shared, or others have shared with you.

Information about the items you’ve saved and shared are accessible at any time and from anywhere either by going to your InMarkit List in a retail partner's e-commerce site or by texting any relevant keyword you choose to search with – like a retailer's name or an item name on your list - to MARKIT (627548).

How do I access items on my InMarkit List from an e-commerce site?
When shopping online, just click InMarkit List on one of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites to find all the items you’ve saved for yourself, shared with others, or others have shared with you.

How do I access items on my InMarkit List on my mobile phone when I am on the go?
To retrieve items on your list from your mobile phone, simply text a relevant keyword to MARKIT (627548). The keyword can be the name of a contact, an item category, a tag or the name of a retailer. For a more specific response, text a combination of keywords.

How do I access my list of items on InMarkit.com?
Click on the Browse tab or the items tab above to search for items on your list. Or click on the People tab and click on a person to see the list of items you are interacting around. Or click on the Places tab and click on a retailer to see the list of items on your list from that retailer.

How do I login to InMarkit on a retail partner’s e-commerce site?
Log in to InMarkit by clicking InMarkit List or Markit on any item page. Then enter your InMarkit user ID and password. Once logged in you can also choose to log in to Facebook. This will allow you to share to your Facebook contacts and view previous shares to Facebook contacts. If you are not logged in to Facebook, you will see an anonymous Facebook avatar for previous shares to Facebook contacts.

How do I bookmark an item on an e-commerce site?
Click Markit next to the item to save the item while shopping for items on one of InMarkit’s retail partner e-commerce sites. Enter your comments, tags and rating then press Save. You have now saved this item for yourself and it will now appear in your InMarkit List for future reference.

How do I share an item on an e-commerce site?
Click Markit found on the item landing page on any InMarkit retail partner’s e-commerce site, first write a comment, add tags or a rating or a desire level. Then to share via email or SMS, select a contact or enter a mobile number or email, and click send. Once you’ve saved or shared an item, it is automatically placed on your list.

You may also post the item to a social network or blog, or place it in a feed.

How do I post an item to a social network or blog from an e-commerce site?
Click Markit found on the item landing page on any InMarkit retail partner’s e-commerce site. Then add your comments, tags, desire level and ratings. Then click the Post This tab, select a social network and follow the instructions in the pop-up window.

How do I add an item to a feed from an e-commerce site?
Click Markit found on the item landing page on any InMarkit retail partner’s e-commerce site. Then add your comments, tags, desire level and ratings. Then click the Feeds tab, select Add to Existing Feed, select the feed and click Save. Or, to add to a new feed, enter a name for the feed and select a viewer.

How do I create a feed on an e-commerce site?
Click Markit found on the item landing page on any InMarkit retail partner’s e-commerce site. Then click the Feeds tab, enter a name for the feed and select a viewer. To add the feed to Tumblr or Blogger, copy the HTML into your page and click Save.

How do I import my contacts on an e-commerce site?
Use My Contacts to add, delete and edit contacts from Contact Manager.
To add contacts to Contact Manager simply click Add Contacts located at the top right corner of the Contact Manager. Follow by filling in the first name, last name, phone number and email of the particular contact you would like to upload. Press Save. Your contact is now added to Contact Manager.

How do I manage my contacts on an e-commerce site?
To edit a contact simply click the Edit within the contact name under the Contact Manager. Follow by editing the highlighted information then click Save. You have now edited your contact’s information. Note: you can edit the email address and mobile phone number for Facebook contacts but cannot edit his/her name.

To delete contacts from your Contact Manager, simply check the box next to the contact name, then click delete, located at the bottom left corner of the Contact Manager. You have now deleted your contact.

Note: All changes made within My Contacts within a retail partner’s e-commerce site will update your mobile contacts and also be reflected in your account on InMarkit.com.

How do I add my Facebook Friends as contacts on an e-commerce site?
Log in to InMarkit by clicking InMarkit List or Markit on any item page. Then enter your InMarkit user ID and password. Once logged in to InMarkit, log in to Facebook. This will allow you to share to your Facebook contacts and view previous shares to Facebook contacts. If you are not logged in to Facebook, you will see an anonymous Facebook avatar for previous shares to Facebook contacts.

Elements


What are comments?
Comments are a message about an item that is saved with the item when you bookmark or save an item for yourself. They also appear as your personal message about an item when you share it with friends or add it to a feed.

What are tags?
Tags are personalized labels for an item. To add tags to an item, click Markit, and add tags in the tag field -- separate each tag with a comma. Tags are also a tool for you to search for items via your mobile phone or on InMarkit.com. When you text any tag to MARKIT (627548) you will receive a list of all items with that tag. From InMarkit.com, when you see a list of tags, click on a tag to see a list of all the items that share the tag. If you select more than one tag, you will see only items that include all the tags selected.

What is a rating?
You rate an item by clicking on the stars. Your personal rating is saved with an item when you bookmark or save an item for yourself. Your personal rating will also appear as part of your personal message about an item when you share it or add it to a feed.

What is a desire level?
A desire level is a quick way for you to comment on an item. Click Markit, then select from one of six choices in the drop-down menu. The desire level is saved with an item when you bookmark or save an item for yourself. Your desire level will also appear as part of your personal message about an item when you share it or add it to a feed.

What is the InMarkit List?
Your InMarkit List is the list of all the items you’ve saved and shared, or others have shared with you.

How do I find promotions for an item?
When looking at your InMarkit List on retail partners' e-commerce sites, simply look for the purple "P" next to the item name. When on the go, simply text any key word to MARKIT (627548) to find an item on your list - like a retailer name or an item name on your list. Once you’ve found the item you're looking for, text the word "PROMO" to MARKIT (627548). How do I delete shares, saves and posts?
Select the individual item to view details about the item. Then click Delete Item then save. You have now deleted your save, share or post.

What are filters and how do I use them?
To quickly find items you are interested within your IMI list (My IMI) you can enter a keyword in the Filter field. Keywords include any word in the name of an item, category, person or retailer you have saved, shared or posted. Keywords also include tags and markit codes. Type a keyword in the Filter field; click Go, and the results list will be reduced to only those items containing the key word. Clear the field and click Go again to show all the results available.

How do I view details about an item?
On an InMarkit retail partner’s home page click InMarkit List to access your InMarkit List. Select an item to view item information details together with media, promotions and any comments ratings etc.. from you, or your friends, on the item landing page.

What is Facebook Connect?
You may sign in to Facebook using this button. Facebook Connect allows you to link your IMI account to your Facebook account. After you associate your accounts you can share to your Facebook friends. If you are not signed in and have previously shared to a Facebook contact, the contact’s avatar will be anonymous. Sign in to Facebook via this button to see your contact’s profile picture. Note: You can only associate one IMI account to one Facebook account.

What is my Personal Message Window?
InMarkit’s Personal Message Window launches when you open a page of an item you have saved, shared, posted, or someone has shared with you. You can see comments and ratings for the item as well as your friends associated with it. You can also access media and promotions from the window.

How do I log in?
On a retail partner’s e-commerce site, log in to InMarkit by clicking InMarkit List or Markit on any item page. Then enter your InMarkit user ID and password. Once logged in you can also choose to log in to Facebook. This will allow you to share to your Facebook contacts and view previous shares to Facebook contacts. If you are not logged in to Facebook, you will see an anonymous Facebook avatar for previous shares to Facebook contacts.

How do I view shares, saves and posts?
In the Personal Message Window are details on items that you have saved, shared, posted, or someone has shared with you as well as comments, ratings and the contacts associated with it.

What is Multimedia?
Multimedia includes video clips, images of recent ad campaigns, music, or much more that may be attached to an item. Look for the Media button on your list.

What are Promotions?
Promotions are offers, discounts, announcements or other communications from a retailer related to an item or group of items. Promotions may include a promotion code to use while shopping online, a barcode to use in store as well as multimedia.

To view promotions for an item from your Personal Message Window, click Promos on the bottom right corner.

From your InMarkit List, click the purple “p” located within the item description. You will then see the promotion detail page for that particular item. Media and other items that are associated with that promotion are also accessible by clicking the items that appear in the carousel at the bottom of the screen.

When you’ve posted an item you’ve saved it. It’s accessible at any time and from anywhere either by going to your InMarkit List on one of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites or by texting any keyword associated with the item to MARKIT (627548).

What is an markit code?
A markit code is a six-digit alphanumeric text code that you find on our retail partners' print ads, billboards and commercials.

How do I search for an item on my InMarkit List?
Text a keyword associated with the item you are searching for to MARKIT (627548) and you will receive a list of results. Keywords include IMI number, retailer name, category, and person. You do not need to precede the keyword with SEARCH.

How do I save, or bookmark, an item?
When you're out and about and you see a retail partner's advertisement with a markit code, simply text the markit code to MARKIT (627548) and you'll gain immediate access to information about that item. And automatically save it to your InMarkit List.

How do I share an item?
Text SHARE plus the markit code you are sharing and the persons first OR last name to MARKIT (627548) to share with a person on your InMarkit contact list. To share to a person that is NOT on your InMarkit contact list, simply use their mobile number or email address in place of the name.

How do I access an e-commerce site from my mobile phone?
Launch your mobile Web browser and enter www.inmarkit.com or any of our retail partners’ e-commerce sites.

How do I retrieve the barcode for a promotion?
Search for an item, then text PROMO to see all promotions currently active for that item. Select a promotion, then text CODE to MARKIT (627548). Check out "How to Text to Shop" for instructions on getting the most from InMarkit while on the go.

How do I view the description for an item?
Search for an item, then text VIEW to see a description for the item as well as a link to the item on the retailer’s e-commerce site.

How do I validate mobile number?
InMarkit requires that you provide a valid email address or mobile number in order to use the system. In order to validate that information and to ensure that the information you provided is correct, InMarkit will send confirmation messages to the address and number you provide. You simply need to respond to these messages in order to validate your account.

How do I unsubscribe from SMS?
If you wish to stop receiving text messages from your friends please text STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to Markit (627548).

What is offline Facebook access for SMS?
Offline Facebook access lets you share to your Facebook contacts using your mobile phone. Once you link your Facebook account to your InMarkit account, you are able to view and share to your Facebook contacts while online. Selecting Offline Facebook Access also lets you share to your Facebook contacts when offline, that is, while using your mobile phone. If you do not enable this feature, you will only be able to share to your Facebook contacts while online.

How do I enable offline Facebook access for SMS?
Go to InMarkit.com in My Profile under People, click Allow Offline Access for Facebook in the lower right hand corner.

How do I disable offline Facebook access?
If you decide that you no longer want to access Facebook contacts via SMS, go to InMarkit.com to My Profile under People, then click Disable Offline Access for Facebook.

How do I edit My Profile?
Click Edit Profile on your Profile page at any time to change the details of your account, including your password and other information. If you change the email address or mobile number associated with your account, you must respond to the validation messages sent in order to regain full access to your account.

How do I manage my communication preferences?
Go to My Profile under the People tab and click Edit Profile.

If you wish to start receiving share notifications via your mobile phone, enter and confirm your mobile number in the fields provided, then check the following box and click Save Profile to save your changes. Be sure to respond to the validation text message that will be sent to your mobile phone to confirm your changes.

If you wish to start receiving share notifications via email, enter and confirm your email address in the fields provided, then check the following box and click Save Profile to save your changes. Be sure to respond to the validation email to confirm your changes.

If you wish to stop receiving share notifications via your mobile phone, uncheck the box I want to receive share notifications on my mobile phone.

Note: All changes made within My Contacts within a retail partner’s e-commerce site will update your mobile contacts and also be reflected in your account on InMarkit.com.

How do I create Groups?
Click People above, click My Groups, enter your group name and then click Go. Click on your group name, add a description for your group, select a group profile picture, and select a pad for the group, then save the group.

How do I edit My Groups?
Once you have saved the group, you can add contacts to it. Return to the My Groups page. If you are adding existing InMarkit contacts you simply click on the contact name in the drop down menu and click Add to Group. If you are adding a new contact, you must first add them as an InMarkit contact by clicking Add Contact and completing the form.

To view or remove contacts to your Group, click on the plus sign (+) button. You will see all of your contacts in the Group, then click Remove From Group to delete a contact from the Group.

How do I search for items?
There are several ways to search for items on InMarkit.com.

My Contacts, My items, and My Places display lists of the people, items, and places associated with you through saves, shares and posts. You can use these main pages to navigate to individual items. You can also filter the items displayed to limit what you see on screen.

The Browse view page provides an alternate method for searching for items through enhanced visual filtering capabilities.

How do I search for items on the Browse page?
The Browse view page provides an intuitive and powerful method for searching for items through enhanced visual filtering capabilities. Click on one of the images in people, items or places to see a list of all the items that share that element. If you select more than visual filter, you will see only items that include all the elements selected.

Tags - Tags are personalized labels to an item. Tags are also another way for you to find and filter items. Click on a tag at any time to see a list of all the items that share the tag. If you select more than one tag, you will see only items that include all the tags selected.

Sorting by columns - you can sort by Category, Item, Place, Promo, People, Save or date to easily find an item that you have saved, shared, posted or was shared with you.

How do I search for items on the My Places page?
You can sort by Retailer, Saves and Categories to easily find an item that you have saved, shared, or posted or was shared with you.

How do I search for items on the My items page?

InMarkit allows you to add an item from retailers who are not yet InMarkit partners through our special clipping interface. You can easily add and share any item by clicking Add an item at the top of any InMarkit.com page.

There are many ways to share an item. Please select from the options below:

How do I share to a contact, email address or phone number?
Select any item on the site. Click Share It!, write a comment, add tags or a rating or a desire level. Then to share via email or SMS, select a contact or enter a mobile number or email, and click send. Once you’ve saved or shared an item, it is automatically placed on your list.

How do I post an item to a social network?
Select any item on the site. Click Share It!, write a comment, add tags or a rating or a desire level. Then click Post This tab, select a social network and follow the instructions in the pop-up window.

How do I create a new feed to add an item?
Go to My Feeds under the People tab and enter the name of a feed in the Quick Create Feed box. Now you can add any item on your InMarkit List to the new feed by clicking Share It!, writing a comment, adding tags or a rating or a desire level. Then click the Feeds tab, select Add to Existing Feed, select the feed and click Save.

How do I add an item to an existing feed?
Select any item on the site. Click Share It!, write a comment, add tags or a rating or a desire level. Then click the Feeds tab, select Add to Existing Feed, select the feed and click Save.

How do I add a feed to iGoogle?
To add to iGoogle, select Google, select Add to Google on the Google page that pops up. Login to your Google account and the frame of the feed reader will appear on your iGoogle page. Next you need to select a feed. Enter the email address associated with your InMarkit account in the box provided, click Enter and select the desired feed from the list of feeds available. Refresh the page and your feed will appear.

If you wish to display a friend’s feed, simply enter their email address rather than your own and select a feed.

How do I manage my feeds?
Go to My Feeds, check the box next to the feed you wish to delete and click Delete Selected.

How do I search for promotions?
Go to the My Promotions tab under My Places to see all the promotions for the items on your InMarkit List. Click the name of the promotion to see the details of the promotion.
Also when you see a purple “p” anywhere on the site, click on it to see information about that promotion.

Then click the Post This tab, select Google and a pre-populated Google Bookmarks page will appear with the name of the item, location URL, and the option for you to add labels, and notes.  Once you have added the appropriate information simply click Add Bookmark at which point you will be taken to your Google bookmarks page. Click Google Home, located at the top right of your Google Book Marks page and you will be taken to your iGoogle page to view your bookmarks within your iGoogle gadget.

Then click the Post This tab, select Blogger and a Blogger popup will appear, pre-populated with title and content, asking for your log in information. You can then post an item to your blog by clicking Publish Post. From your InMarkit List on a retail partner’s e-commerce site, click InMarkit List, select any item, once on the item page, click Markit; add your comments, tags, desire level and ratings. Then click the Post This tab, select Twitter and a Twitter popup will appear with your message populated in the “What are you doing?” field.  You can then post an item to your Twitter page by clicking Update.

How do I copy a URL for an item page?
On a retail partner’s e-commerce site, first click Markit, then add your comments, tags, desire level and ratings. Then click the Post This tab, select URL and the URL will appear.
From your mobile device, search for the item by texting any keyword such as the name of the retailer or item to MARKIT (627548). Then text VIEW and the URL will be sent to you.

How do I create Feeds?
Feeds are an exciting new tool for you to share items with your friends and family. With feeds you can create themed collections of items that can be posted on blogs and web pages. Feeds are live (not static) which means that each time you update a feed with new items, those updates will be seen anywhere your feed is posted.

On a retail partner’s e-commerce site, first click Markit, then add your comments, tags, desire level and ratings. Then click the Feeds tab, select Add to Existing Feed, select the feed and click Save.

To add to a new feed, enter a name for the feed and select a viewer. To add the feed to Tumblr or Blogger, copy the HTML into your page and click Save.

To add to iGoogle, select Google, select Add to Google on the Google page that pops up. Login to your Google account and the frame of the feed reader will appear on your iGoogle page. Next you need to select a feed. Enter the email address associated with your InMarkit account in the box provided, click Enter and select the desired feed from the list of feeds available. Refresh the page and your feed will appear.

How do I manage feeds?
To add a new item to a feed from the InMarkit.com, select any item, then from the item page, click Share It! and follow the instructions above.  Or go to My Feeds under the People tab and enter the name of a feed in the Quick Create Feed box. Now you can add any item on your InMarkit List to the new feed by selecting Share It! from the item detail page and following the instructions above. 

To delete a feed from InMarkit.com, go to My Feeds, check the box next to the feed you wish to delete and click Delete Selected.
